Course Description

This concentrated, 8-week, online, dual-listed (undergraduate/graduate) course is designed to simulate a problem-solving approach to stress management..  Students will identify their own personal stressors and be introduced to specific intervention strategies.  They will be given the opportunity to practice and evaluate strategies to reduce their identified stress. In addition, the students will be examining stress theories concerning etiology, personality, and disease; stress patterns in work and other environments; and physical/mental responses associated with stress.

This course would benefit any students that are interested in identifying and dealing with their own personal stressors or any students who plan on designing and/or administering stress management or health promotion programs in corporate, academic, hospital, or public health settings.
